What Happens After You Win a Bid?
Last updated October 4, 2026
When a building picks your bid, there's usually nothing to accept: a bid you submitted yourself already counts as your confirmation, and the booking is set up straight away.
If a quote was entered for you
If your quote was entered on your behalf rather than submitted by you, your job page asks you to confirm your price first. Nobody at the building can sign up or be charged until you do. If something's wrong, message the building before you confirm.
Sign-ups open
Next, sign-ups open for the building's residents. The organizer can open them, or Kindo opens them about two days after the award once everything needed is in place, unless the club has paused automatic opening. Residents pick appointment times within the days and hours you offered, until the sign-up deadline Kindo sets.
Your insurance paperwork
When sign-ups open, Kindo asks you for any insurance paperwork the building still needs for this job. Upload it on your job page and Kindo passes it to the building. If the building requires a signed indemnity agreement from each apartment, you sign it first, once for the job; residents can't sign theirs until you have.
Confirming the booking
Once sign-ups close, the organizer sends the booking to you to confirm. You can confirm from your job page when:
- the building's sign-off on your insurance paperwork is recorded, and, where the building reviews unit by unit, every apartment signed up is cleared
- your certificate on file hasn't lapsed before the work date
- Kindo can pay you: your Stripe account can receive transfers, or, if Kindo pays you by bank transfer or check, Kindo has finished setting that up and your payout details haven't changed in the last 24 hours
Confirming charges the card of every resident who signed up. You have seven days to confirm, with a reminder on day three; after that, the job is released and the building looks for another vendor.
After the visit
Once a resident confirms their apartment's job, or it confirms automatically, Kindo is clear to pay you for that apartment. See Getting Paid for how your share reaches you and where you'll see it.
